We are not very impressed by before and after photos of permanent hair removal. The person looking at such “miracle photos” can’t see if the hairs have been removed permanently or have only been shaved. For this reason, we would like to show you a histological photo of the skin and hairs taken using a microscope. One before picture we want to show you to make clear that permanent hair removal is absolutely necessary...
On the right you can see a hair root in the anagen stage (growth stage). You can see that the hair root is full of melanin (dark). It is only in this stage that hair can be removed permanently.
On the left you can see a hair root in the so-called telogen stage (resting hair).
